Now BCCI Fitness test on Yuvi, Bhajji on Monday

Team India's fitness worry continues ahead of the crucial selection of the squad for the home series against South Africa. The Fitness tests for Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Ishant Sharma have been posponed till Monday (March 17), ahead of the selection for the first two Tests.

Dilip Vengsarkar led selection committe will meet in Bangalore on Monday along with newly appointed coach Gary Kirsten, to select a team for the first two Tests. Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, RP Singh and VRV Singh have already passed fitness at the NCA.

South Africans are slated to arrive in Chennai on March 21 for three Tests, the first of which begins at the MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai) on March 26.

Outgoing Physio John Gloster in his fitness report after the Australia series mentioned concerns over fitness of Yuvi, Bhajji and Ishant.

As per the report, Yuvraj Singh's knee injury returned to haunt him with the reccurence of the injury during the Perth Test and Gloster in his report had infact mentioned the need of surgery if enough rest wasn't provided to the left-handed batsman.

Harbhajan Singh's left hamstring injury found a mention in the Gloster report and had advised him rest for atleast three weeks.
Ishant Sharma who injured his finger during the first final at Sydney had also been deemed serious by the physio
